Coffeehouse chain Starbucks is kicking off the holiday season in style by introducing new seasonal drinks flavours—including Gingerbread Latte and Toffee Nut Latte—as well as their now famous festive red cups.
To celebrate the season and help get Londoners in the holiday spirit, Starbucks is running a campaign this week that features a four-metre tall Red Cup installation. The “tree” of cups, created by agency Manning Gottlieb OMD, will light up gradually as consumers tweet photos and messages using hashtag #RedCups. It also smells like a gingerbread latte! This socially charged light installation is featured across digital displays throughout King’s Cross Station.
Starbucks is using Stackla to aggregate and curate all of the #RedCup posts in real time.
Starbucks is expecting the campaign to help drive sales throughout the holidays. The campaign will also generate social conversation between Starbucks and its fans, boosting engagement and awareness in a fun and unique way.
