I’m thrilled to share some great news: Stackla has closed our Series A round of AU$6.1M, led by Bailador Technology Investments.

We initially announced the round in September 2015, with participation from Bailador as well as existing investors Rampersand and Tony Faure. Since then, Stackla has grown annual recurring revenue (ARR) by nearly 50% and increased average contract value (ACV) by 29%. We are on a strong growth trajectory—one that is reflected in this additional investment to close out the round.

As the technology industry moves into a period of uncertainty, a measured approach to expansion is more important than ever. Many major tech companies have recently taken big hits on the public markets. As a result, both investors and business leaders are shifting from a “growth at all costs” approach to one that seeks a path to profitability.

Stackla foundersStackla was bootstrapped through the early days. We raised small amounts of capital, made every dollar count, and placed enormous focus on execution. Winter doesn’t scare us.

With major initiatives being undertaken in all departments, the business is set to evolve again this year. We will be growing our operations globally, particularly across our US, EMEA, and Singapore locations, and expand our executive team by adding a CMO and CFO. We’ll continue to invest in our product, making it easier and more effective than ever for marketers to leverage user-generated content throughout their marketing channels. And we’ll be doubling down on customer success, creating new programs to guide and support customers throughout their journey.

The opportunities before us this year will be tremendous. We feel privileged to be in this position and working alongside so many incredibly talented, intelligent and committed colleagues. Special thanks go to our customers for driving us to be better at what we do every day; your feedback, support, and involvement is pivotal to our long term success.

It’s going to be a fantastic ride. We look forward to sharing more of our plans over the coming weeks.
