Chrome Extension Update

Last month we released a new extension that connected Google Chrome to Stackla Asset Manager.

In case you missed it, the Stackla Chrome Extension provides a simple interface to download assets for use in your favorite web apps like social management platforms and CMSs. You can grab a publicly accessible link to import your media into marketing tools or hotlink in emails and websites. You can even drag and drop assets directly in to applications that support it.

It’s already proven very popular, so we decided to build in the ability to push content to Stackla from the most popular social platforms.

Now, when you’re browsing Instagram, Facebook, Twitter or YouTube and you find a great piece of content you’d like to have in Stackla, you can just click the new Stackla button the extension adds to each of those networks to capture the post.

You can add tags and set your publication status within the Chrome Extension popup before pushing to your Stack.

Check out this short video to see the extension in action, skip to 1m 25s to see an example of pushing an Instagram post to Stackla.

You can get the extension on the Chrome Web Store and there’s some documentation to take you through the details on the Stackla Support Portal.

If you already have the extension installed, it will automatically update when you next open Chrome.

New Instagram Term Types

Instagram is in the process of updating their developer APIs and have released some new functionality that we’ve built in to Stackla.

There are three new Term types to aggregate content related to your Instagram Business Account.

Business Mentions

When someone @mentions your Instagram Business Account on Instagram you can now aggregate these posts in Stackla.

Business Photo Tags

This is one a lot of brands have been holding out for: when your Instagram Business Account is tagged in a post, you can now aggregate it.

Business Stories

If you’re posting Stories to Instagram, you can now bring these in to Stackla to display in your Widgets and Event Screens too.

Sitecore Plugin Update

The official Stackla Sitecore Plugin is now compatible with Sitecore 9.0 Rev 171219 (Update 1) & Sitecore 9.0 Rev 180604 (Update 2).

It is also now compatible with Sitecore Experience Accelerator 1.6, 1.7 and 1.7 Update – 1.
